SARASOTA - Nik Wallenda may not have been feeling 100% healthy during his historic canyon walk on Sunday. In fact we've learned that he was dealing with a sinus infection and was being treated with antibiotics during the walk.

Anyone who's had a sinus infection before knows how bad they can make you feel. It just makes this whole feat even more incredible that he was able to pull off the wire walk even though he was not feeling 100%.

There's also been a lot of talk around town as to what kind of reception Nik is going to get when he returns home to the Suncoast. Despite reports published earlier today in a local newspaper, there will not be a ticker tape parade this Sunday at 5pm.

Instead, Nik will be serving as one of the grand marshals for the Suncoast Super Boat Grand Prix boat parade, which takes place on Main Street at 7pm on Friday, July 5th as part of the boat race festivities.

So that will be a great opportunity for everyone to come downtown and see him during that event.

Nik has also told ABC 7 that he expects to be back home this Friday.
