Suncoast Republicans and Democrats plan victory parties on election night

SARASOTA - The election is still one week away, but area Republican and Democratic Party members have already announced plans for election night victory parties.

It will happen at the Hyatt Sarasota on Tuesday, November 6th, beginning at 7:30pm.

Sarasota County Republican Party officials are inviting all local candidates to the Hyatt Sarasota on Tuesday, November 6th, beginning at 7:30pm, to speak to supporters.  Those expected to attend include U.S. Congressman Vern Buchanan, State Senator Nancy Detert, State Representative Ray Pilon, State Representative Doug Holder, State Representative Greg Steube.

The Hyatt Sarasota is located at 1000 Boulevard of the Arts.

The Democratic Club of Sarasota will host an Election Night Victory Party at Marina Jack’s Portside Patio. The public is invited to join Democrats and Obama supporters to watch local and national election returns.

Television coverage will be shown on a jumbo projection screen and other TV’s strategically located throughout the venue. Local Democratic candidates and Democratic Party leadership will be in attendance.

There is no admission charge, but food and beverage will be available for purchase.  The event begins after the polls close at 7 p.m. and continues through the evening.
