VENICE, Fla. - The city of Venice already has passed a doggie dining ordinance and has the popular paw park on the beach. The city's Parks Advisory Board is now looking at welcoming dogs in 20 plus parks and recreation areas there.

Officials with the city say the previous moves have brought more people to the city. Claiming the dog friendly community has become a destination spot for travelers and those looking to put down roots.

However, some are concerned about waste and safety.

Seven South Newsroom reporter Josh Taylor has the full story this evening on ABC 7.
