VENICE, FL - The city is working on a new sign code that would give businesses more flexibility in how they attract attention to their establishments.

The planning commission is seeking a balance between keeping city roads attractive and allowing businesses to attract customers.

A policy task force that will make recommendations to city leaders is getting public input on Tuesday.

7 South Newsroom Reporter Josh Taylor is covering the story.
