It's not an "Assault Rifle," It's just a RIFLE! Assault is an action, not a description. The AR-15 has been sold as a civilian rifle for more than 50 years. If you want to call something an "Assault Rifle, " the M16 the military uses is a select fire rifle and some versions are capable of firing in full automatic mode, the AR-15 is a semi-auto single fire rifle. If that is truly an M16 it is worth well over $20,000 and no one would just leave it in the woods.
