SARASOTA COUNTY - Sarasota County Emergency Management has finished its damage assessment from Tropical Storm Andrea and is reporting minor impacts including downed trees, power lines and localized flooding.
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- After bringing rains, heavy winds and even tornadoes to parts of Florida, Tropical Storm Andrea moved quickly across south Georgia and was speeding through the Carolinas on Friday morning, promising sloppy commutes and waterlogged vacation getaways through the beginning of the weekend.
SARASOTA - Heavy rain and gusty winds made their way throughout the Suncoast and across the state Thursday, courtesy of Tropical storm Andrea. The storms managed to leave a lasting impact on certain areas of the Suncoast.

MANATEE COUNTY - Some residents of Myakka City are trying to assess damage to their properties after a strong band of weather swept across the city Thursday morning.
TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Florida Park Service is issuing 30 state park campground closures due to Tropical Storm Andrea's expected landfall in the Big Bend region. As of Thursday, all parks remain open for day use except for Anclote Key Preserve.
WIMAUMA - In Wimauma today, some Hillsborough County resident's suffered damage from the storm.
TAMPA BAY - The Sunshine Skyway Bridge re-opened for traffic Thursday evening after authorities shut it down due to wind speeds being measured at 50 plus mph earlier Thursday from Tropical Storm Andrea.

CAYO COCO, Cuba (AP) — Cuban scientists project that rising sea levels will damage 122 Cuban towns or even wipe them off the map.
