Severe thunderstorms will also be possible along the western side of the cold front, focusing over northwest Montana. In addition, widespread rain and thunderstorms will develop along this frontal boundary over the northern and central Plains, the middle Mississippi Valley, the Ohio Valley and the Mid-Atlantic. To the south of this cold front, an onshore flow from the Gulf of Mexico will trigger thunderstorm activity over the Gulf Coast, the Deep South and the Tennessee Valley. Sea breeze induced thunderstorms will also be possible over the Southeast.
