VENICE, FL. - Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office detectives working in an undercover capacity at Caspersen Beach Park arrested seven men during a 3-day operation.
Since 2000, the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has made 45 arrests at the beach.

The suspected cause of the fish kill is a red tide bloom located offshore in the Gulf of Mexico.
