SARASOTA COUNTY, FL - It doesn't take much to become a substitute teacher according to the State of Florida, a high school diploma and a teaching certificate will get you in.

Not the case in Sarasota County, where the standards are higher.

While a bachelor's degree and a certification have been required, the county is lowering that standard for some schools.

This comes amid a short supply of substitutes.

What will become of the County's higher standards, and what's driving the demand?  ABC 7 Reporter Bobeth Yates is on the story.
