SARASOTA, Fla. -- If you see a plume of smoke coming from the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport this morning, it’s not a fire...it’s a celebration.

The airport will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of its terminal building. So airport officials will hold a "let it burn” event, in which a copy of the bonds associated with the terminal's construction will be burned in a fire pit, celebrating the airport retiring all debt.

The celebration began this morning at 10am.
