TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - It took Jimbo Fisher three years to get Florida State back among the nation's Top 10.

The Associated Press' season-ending poll announced Tuesday had the Seminoles (12-2) ranked 10th, just behind No. 9 Florida.

The AP ranked Florida State 23rd after the 2011 season and 16th following Fisher's first year as a head coach in 2010.

Florida State is 31-10 overall and 3-0 in bowl games since Fisher succeed Bobby Bowden as coach. Northern Illinois, which lost to the Seminoles in the Orange Bowl, finished No. 22 in the AP's final rankings.

The Seminoles are losing several key players from this year's squad, including quarterback EJ Manuel, running backs Lonnie Pryor and Chris Thompson and defensive stalwarts Bjoern Werner, Cornellius Carradine and Brandon Jenkins along with record-setting kicker Dustin Hopkins.
