NEW YORK (AP) - A minor league outfielder in the Tampa Bay organization has been suspended 50 games after refusing to take an offseason drug test.

Cody Rogers was penalized Monday by the commissioner's office. He was on the roster of Triple-A Durham, and the ban will begin at the start of next season.

The 24-year-old Rogers hit .244 with four home runs, 38 RBIs and 22 stolen bases last season for Class A Charlotte in the Florida State League.

There have been 103 suspensions this year under the minor league drug problem and seven suspensions under the major league program.
