FOXBORO, Mass. - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the New England Patriots Friday night, mostly because Tom Brady was, well, Tom Brady, going 11 of 12 with a touchdown pass.

In the Bucs’ 24-17 loss Friday night, rookie quarterback Mike Glennon looked good, with 2 touchdown passes, but starter Josh Freeman only played a few series and was sacked 3 times.

"He is probably the best in the NFL at standing in the pocket and keeping his vision down the field. If it was about that, but I have never seen anybody better that stands in there well and moves up in the pocket as well, and never lets the rush get to him," said Bucs head coach Greg Schiano.

Schiano is worried about the pass protection a little, but not about Freeman. "I never saw the reason to push the envelope for that reason, and I thought it would get Mike Glennon and the other guys reps. Now Josh will see substantial playing time this week."

Mike Smith had a nifty return, but then he hurt his toe, so he didn't get any rushing attempts like they hoped he would. "Now we know Peyton Hillis belongs. He has done it in this league. And we know Mike James is showing that he belongs, the way he is running the football. And he blocked and all the other things a running back has to do."

Speaking of injuries, Darrelle Revis practiced with no contact Monday and opening day is a possibility, while guard Davin Joseph showed good signs today as well. "Davin Joseph went all but two sessions in practice today, which is a big step for him. Darrelle Revis began to work in with the first defense in each period today."
