Booker's Mayes makes Class 4A state 2nd team

SARASOTA - The Florida High School Athletic Association released its all-state Class 4A and 3A teams Thursday, with players from both Booker High and Cardinal Mooney High getting recognition for their football play in 2012.

Class 4A's Booker had two players recognized.  Senior defensive lineman Eric Mayes made the second team defense, and junior running back Marlon Mack received Honorable Mention.

In Class 3A, Cardinal Mooney junior Demardre Patterson received Honorable Mention.
