TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida State wide receiver Rashad Greene is one of 55 wide receivers on the preseason watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the top wide receiver in college football.
Greene enters his senior season with 171 career receptions for the Noles, just 41 shy of Ron Sellers' school record of 212 (Greene caught 76 balls in 2013). The Albany, Ga. native is also close to FSU's all time receiving yards and touchdowns records. His 2,465 receiving yards are 1,133 behind another record held by Sellers at 3,598. Greene has 22 career touchdowns, nine behind Peter Warrick's record of 31.
The Tallahassee Quarterback Club determines the winner of the Biletnikoff Award, which no Seminole has won since its creation in 1994.
