BRADENTON - If there is an early contender for Suncoast Coach of the Year, many would probably say Manatee's Joe Kinnan. And why not? Manatee remains undefeated, even after what looked like it could have been an upset early in the game this week versus Palmetto.

Yet there's another name you have to throw out there, and that's Curt Bradley with Braden River.  In his second season with the Pirates, Bradley has "The River" off to a 4-2 start, after a 1-9 season last year. The Pirates defeated Bayshore Friday 14-7. The team hosts North Port on the 25th. Bayshore is now 2-5 and will host Hardee next Friday night.

In other action Friday night, Dom Marino and Terry Polk led Venice to an easy 57-14 victory over Sarasota. The Indians are now 6-1, with the team's only loss to Manatee.

As for the Hurricanes, Manatee is on the road next Friday night against St. Petersburg, looking for their 8th win of the year.
