John Warren named as football coach at Southeast

BRADENTON, Fla. - Southeast High School begins a new era, after hiring a new football coach to replace the legendary Paul Maechtle.

Principal Jim Pauley has announced that John Warren will lead the Seminoles football program.

Warren is no stranger to Southeast. He coached the Seminoles wide receivers for a season before heading to Massac County High School in Illinois.

Under former coach Maechtle, the ‘Noles won two state championships and 279 games in his more than 3 decades as coach.
