Examining the candidates at WR

Davante Adams, Fresno State, 6-1, 212. Doesn’t lack for confidence, calling himself the best receiver in the draft. He certainly was the most productive in college last year, leading the nation with 131 catches for 1,718 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Bruce Ellington, South Carolina, 5-9, 197. One of the better athletes in the draft. Played point guard on the school’s basketball team.

Jarvis Landry, LSU, 5-11, 205. Would make the perfect replacement for Avant in the slot and could still be waiting to get picked in the third or fourth round.

Jordan Matthews, Vanderbilt, 6-3, 212. He is the cousin of NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Rice. He also had more than a few dropped passes for the Commodores.

Donta Moncrief, Mississippi, 6-2, 221. Good size and a bit under the radar.
