MANATEE CO., FL - Sheriff's Deputy Leon Pollock has been placed on unpaid leave and is the subject of an internal investigation.

This comes after criminal charges including grand theft and burglary were filed against his wife, Jeanella Pollock.

She is accused of breaking into a vacant home in Hillsborough County, and moving in with her husband and children.

All that apparently did not sit well with the homes current owner, who has been negotiating with the mortgage holding bank in an effort to move back in.

ABC 7's Trevor Shirley will bring you more on the story.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) removed seven reptiles from an unlicensed man last week. FWC investigators charged Nick Mitchell with unlawful possession of seven venomous reptiles and several other violations related to the care, keeping and labeling of his animals. The animals, including a gila monster, black monocled cobra, rhino viper, dusky pygmy rattlesnake, black neck spitting cobra and two banded cobras, were seized and placed at a local licensed facility.
