SEMINOLE HEIGHTS, FL - Tampa Police are investigating a suspicious death in the Seminole Heights neighborhood overnight.
Police are on scene where a body was found just before 5 a.m. on Tuesday near N. Nebraska Avenue and E. McBerry Street.
Tampa Police identified the victim as 60-year-old Ronald Felton.
Police are asking residents nearby to stay indoors as there is still a massive police presence on the scene. Forensic evidence is also still being collected.
This comes just weeks after three people were shot and killed over a 10-day span in Seminole Heights.
The shooting was about three blocks away from where Monica Hoffa was shot and killed on October 11.
Police say that they are treating Tuesday’s suspicious death as a related case until they know differently.
"I believe this person lives in this neighborhood and we need everyone's cooperation," said Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan.
A perimiter has been set up in the neighborhood, and residents are being told to stay indoors, and keep their children home from school until an all clear is given.
