SARASOTA, Fla. -- Two great white sharks with satellite transponders remain in the gulf waters off the Suncoast.

Great whites Betsy and Katharine were bothed tagged last year off Cape Cod as part of a tracking project put on by Ocearch with help from Mote Marine Laboratory.

Pings from transponders attached to their fins showed the two sharks swam all the way down to Florida before moving into the Gulf of Mexico.

Pings picked up over the last week show the two sharks are both still in the gulf and both are approximately 130 miles offshore near Charlotte County.

You can track these sharks and others at ocearch.org.
