SARASOTA – ‘Nothing Without You,’ the award-winning psychological thriller by Director Xackery Irving and Producer Rick Santos, will be featured with an opening weekend screening at the 15th Annual Sarasota Film Festival.
The festival represents a homecoming for producer, co-writer Rick Santos. Santos, whose hometown is Miami, attended college nearby at the University of South Florida. “It means so much to be able to screen our film in my home state,” said Santos, “having family and friends join us at such a prestigious venue is a unique pleasure.”
Filmmakers Irving and Santos look forward to the screening in Sarasota this Saturday, April 6 at 8:45 pm and Sunday, April 7 at 12:45 pm. “We are so happy to have the privilege of screening at such a great festival,” says Irving, “the Sarasota Film Fest is quickly becoming one of the premiere venues in the country. Playing opening weekend is such thrill for our team.”
‘Nothing Without You,’ a 95-minute psychological thriller, follows the experiences of a young woman who turns to her court-appointed therapist to prove she is innocent of a violent murder. Like signature indie suspense films like ‘Memento,’ ‘The Machinist,’ and ‘Pi,’ ‘Nothing Without You’ features a main character whose impaired sense of reality sets up major plot twists and surprises. The film stars Emily Fradenburgh, Keith McGill, Will Crawford, Abi Van Andel, Richard Garbirini and Katherine Mapother.
A question and answer session with cast and crew will follow the screening.
