SARASOTA, FL - A special meeting is being held Wednesday by the Sarasota City Commission regarding renovations at Sarasota Orchestra's Beatrice Friedman Symphony Center.

The orchestra is calling for several upgrades to the facility, but the city rents the center to the orchestra, and there are concerns. They include laws regarding the size and scope of the project, and whether or not a general contractor is needed.

ABC 7 Reporter John McQuiston is following the story.
