BRADENTON, Fla. - A Manatee County private school is part of a death investigation.

According to the State Department of Children and Family, Bradenton Police were called to the Children's Academy of Southwest Florida back on January 7th. And while the details of what they found are still being investigated, we do know that one of the children who went to the school that day did not leave alive.

"An infant did die while in the care of the school. However we do not have a definitive cause of death," says a Department of Children and Family spokesperson.

The name and age of the student have not yet been released. Police are awaiting an autopsy to confirm the actual cause of death and what will happen next.
