Has the taxpayers of Sarasota County forgotten about the 12 million dollar software package that the district purchased in 2008-2009? It still is NOT operational for the student system. Employees at the Landings have told me the cost is up to 20 million dollars. There are presently at least a hundred major errors.
There are employees that take long lunch hours, long breaks, or do not record vacation or sick time. The taxpayer is paying twice for all this abuse of hours. There are retirement parties, baby showers, and other parties that taxpayers are paying for. If you ask any classified employee or teacher, 99.9% will tell you there is so much waste in the district. It is about time the residents of Sarasota vote NO for the referendum. Time to clean house and get rid of all the dead weight and unethical administrators. The IT director was demoted (Bob Hansen's friend and was under investigation by the FBI) and now is the Crosspointe liaison. This employee should have been fired a long time ago as she does not have a clue what she is doing.
If you try to talk to School Board members, none of them can take any constructive critism. Don't ever believe they are listening to the public. They do what they want.
VOTE NO for the School Board refendum.
