KEELUNG CITY, TAIWAN - A driver has narrowly escaped being crushed beneath a massive boulder that tumbled across a road in Taiwan during a landslide.

A camera mounted on the dashboard of a second vehicle traveling behind the car captured the dramatic moment when the landslide hit the road and the boulder, several times the car's size, crashed down, stopping just feet away.

The boulder can be seen at the very beginning of the video as it starts to roll down the hill.

Heavy rain has triggered a series of mudslides across Taiwan.

Rocks began shifting at the top of a hillside, and the video - posted on YouTube - shows the drivers below apparently oblivious to the danger until debris started raining down.

Elsewhere, 19 people were injured in a train derailment.
