SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) - All lanes of southbound Interstate 75 have been reopened after a vehicle fire Saturday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, all lanes have been cleared and reopened to traffic after a vehicle fire near Fruitville Road, mile marker 210.
Sarasota County Emergency Services is reporting that the initial incident occurred around 9:32 a.m. when a car carrier caught on fire.
The fire caused traffic delays in the southbound lanes to the SR-64 exit, while the northbound lanes were also backed up to the Clark Road exit.
Drivers can expect continued delays as traffic operations return to normal.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
