VENICE, FL (WWSB) - The Venice High School football team is moving on to the next round of the playoffs. The Indians are back to back regional champions for the first time in program history.
The Indians defeated Tampa Bay Tech on Friday night 48-17 which advances them to play St. Thomas Aquinas in the state semi-finals. Venice will play at home on Friday, December 1st at 7:30 p.m.
The St. Thomas Aquinas raiders will be playing to defend the State title they won in 2016.
Venice High School is the only Suncoast team left in the playoffs.
