HAMILTON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL)--Two people are dead after a wrong-way crash in Hamilton County.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers say 91-year-old Ernest Lee Holmes of High Springs, Florida was driving a Buick Century. They say he was headed south on I-75 in the inside northbound lane and hit a Ford Expedition head-on.
Holmes and the driver of the SUV, 55-year-old Peter J. Linek of Ormond Beach, were killed.
Following that crash, three other vehicles collided. One of which was a Greyhound bus, traveling to Atlanta, with 42 passengers on board.
Thirteen of the passengers were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.
Troopers say it's unknown if alcohol contributed to the head-on collision, but it's not suspected in the secondary collisions.
