HAMILTON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL)-- Two people are dead after a wrong-way crash in Hamilton County.

An elderly man driving southbound in a northbound lane on Interstate-75 crashed into another car, killing himself and the other driver. It happened just before midnight near the Florida-Georgia line at mile marker 449. That's just south of Jasper.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say 91-year-old Ernest Lee Holmes of High Springs, Florida was driving a Buick Century when he crashed into 55-year-old Peter J. Linek of Ormond Beach, Florida. Linek was driving his Ford Expedition northbound in the correct direction. Both men died.

Three other vehicles also crashed, including a Greyhound bus on the way to Atlanta from Tampa. Thirteen passengers were treated for minor injuries.
