TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Most of the area was covered in water during Tuesday morning's storms but lightning strikes can still cause a fire.

Around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday the Tallahassee Fire Department received a call from the 6200 block of Brushy Creek Road after a neighbor saw a fire, said the fire department.

Firefighters said they were able to quickly extinguish the fire that was burning in a small shed before it spread to the nearby home.

The cause of the fire is listed as a lightning strike.

Nobody was home at the time of the fire and nobody was injured, said the fire department. Damage to the shed and a camper are estimated at $5,000.
