Pinellas Park firefighters save dog from house fire

PINELLAS PARK, FL. – Six people and a dog are safe after a fire starts in Pinellas Park home.

On Tuesday, the Pinellas Park Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 5980 107 Ter. North. When they arrived smoke was coming from the eves of the house.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in one of the rooms in the home.

The house had 6 occupants who were able to escape. One firefighter located a dog named Casper in the home and was able to bring him out safely.

The house sustained fire and smoke damage throughout. The fire is under investigation.

The family was being assisted by Red Cross.
