TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Tampa Bay area detectives say a French Bulldog that was stolen at gunpoint has been reunited with his owner.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reports that 27-year-old Derek McComber was walking his dog, named Bueller, at 12:20 a.m. on Saturday in Tampa when two men in a Honda Civic pulled up.

One of the men in the car showed McComber a gun and scooped Bueller in his arms, then drove away. About 9:30 a.m. Saturday, a man in the neighborhood spotted the dog in his yard.

Authorities said that the man was making flyers about the dog when he heard news coverage about the theft and called officials. Bueller and his owner were reunited Monday.
