JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — A Jacksonville man faces a mandatory life sentence for a drug-related murder.

A Duval County jury found 25-year-old Justin Kyle Footman guilty Wednesday of first-degree murder and armed robbery.

Authorities say Footman and two other men planned to steal marijuana from 19-year-old Tommy Girarde McDowell Jr.'s cousin at Summer Oak apartments in 2012. The Florida Times Union (http://goo.gl/gplNM2 ) reports that Footman shot McDowell in the chest, took the drugs and then ran away.
