"Because of the parents' behavior and "the fact that narcotics and weapons were located inside of the hotel room," the children were taken by child welfare officers, and Joshua Hakken was arrested on drug charges, the statement said. - If you look at the original arrest report which is available to the public, law enforcement found a little pot and a pipe, NO WEAPONS. The Hakken's lost custody of their children over a little pot. According to law, child protection can take abused children. The Hakken children were not abused. It would appear that child protection acted illegally (which is extremely common) in order to collect the matching federal funds that are made available to a county each time a child is taken from their parents. If child protection had followed the law, none of this would have happened. This is a father desperate for his children and driven to desperation by a system that overstepped the rule of law. Now, ask yourselves, what would you do if it had been your children? Would you have simply rolled over and written your children off?
