TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Florida is poised to play a crucial role in picking America's next president.
Florida has 29 electoral votes up for grabs, the most of any swing state, and it is seen as a toss-up. President Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney have campaigned hard in Florida and made frequent visits to the state.
Obama visited South Florida on Sunday. Romney began his final day of campaigning Monday in the central part of the state.
Obama won Florida in 2008, but the state's unemployment and foreclosure rates have remained above the national average. If Obama wins Florida again, it would all but assure him another four years in the White House.
