Florida Housing launches Hardest-Hit Fund mortgage assistance

TALLAHASSEE - On Tuesday, Florida Housing launched a program to help elderly homeowners.

Using $25 million in federal funding, the Elderly Mortgage Assistance Program will help homeowners facing hardship, and problems making property tax and insurance payments.

Eligible homeowners could receive a 2-year, forgivable loan of up to $25,000.
