Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL) -- Education is Florida A&M University’s oldest academic program and in the fall, it will be adding a Master’s program to its already incredible legacy.

The addition is three years in the making.

According to FAMU, the curriculum is designed to fulfill the need for productive, efficient and well-trained teachers. The program will also offer a specialty in minority and urban education due to students’ desire to persue jobs in this area.

To earn a Master’s in Education from FAMU, one must complete 30 hours of coursework with a 3.0 GPA, pass a comprehensive exam and make an action research presentation.
