JENSEN BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A central Florida beach has been closed following reports of a shark bite.
Officials say a swimmer was bit on the lower leg or ankle Monday afternoon at Jensen Beach. The bite was minor and not considered life-threatening.
Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers reports that lifeguards flew double red flags, meaning no swimming.
Officials say they will evaluate beach conditions later this week to determine if they'll re-open.
