CAPE CANAVERAL, FL.(WWSB)-SpaceX said today, it's Dragon capsule launched last month to resupply the International Space Station, safety returned to Earth today, splashing down in the Pacific off the coast of Baja, California.
It is the second time this capsule has been used to shuttle supplies to the ISS.
Dragon was loaded with more than two tons of cargo. Most of it was scientific gear from animal and human research. It also included a group of live mice used in orbit to study medications that might prevent or reduce muscle loss in zero gravity space.
