PORT CHARLOTTE, FL. - Charlotte County Sheriff's Office deputies located and arrested a woman for the second time in connection with stealing shopping carts full of merchandise from two Walgreen stores.

Arrested Sunday was 31-year-old Janet Nicole Klotzbier of Port Charlotte.

Klotzbier was arrested first on Dec. 8 after she was caught stealing an overflowing shopping cart with merchandise valued at $539 from Walgreen’s, 1800 Tamiami Trail in Murdock (U.S. 41 & Cochran Boulevard). Deputies also found Xanax and Nuucyntha pills in her purse. She was transported to the Charlotte County Jail and charged with Grand Theft and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription. She posted a $10,000 bond and was released.

Sunday, deputies finally located Klotzbier in connection with stealing 122 items valued at $1,210 from the Walgreen’s at 22449 Edgewater Drive (U.S. 41 & Edgewater Dr.). This theft occurred prior to her arrest at Walgreen’s in Murdock.

Surveillance video provided later by Walgreen’s positively identified Klotzbier.

She was arrested and transported to the Charlotte County Jail. She posted a $2,500 bond and was released.
