VENICE, - The Venice Christmas Boat Parade begins just south of Albee Road Bridge on the Intracoastal Waterway Dec. 1 at 6 p.m.

The boats will proceed south on the ICW to just north of the Circus Bridge (south), where they will turn around and return to the starting point of the parade.

The Venice Avenue Bridge (center) and Hatchett Creek Bridge (north) will be closed to vehicular traffic to accommodate the parade around 7 p.m. and remain closed until the last boat in the parade has made the return trip through the bridge openings, probably around 9 p.m.

Higel Park boat ramp is closed due to construction. The Marina Park boat ramp near the Historic Venice Train Depot will be closed from 5 p.m. until around 10 p.m.

Parade spectators will not be allowed to park at the Marina Park boat ramp parking lot, but may use the adjacent train depot parking lot and the adjacent overflow parking field on the east side of the train depot.
