CHARLOTTE COUNTY - Two people died early Saturday morning when their car collided with a utility pole in Punta Gorda.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 12:30am Saturday morning when 19-year-old Kassandra Sedore lost control of her car going at high speed around a curve on Tribune Boulevard near Poindexter Avenue.

Troopers say Sedore and 23-year-old Anthony Buffington, both of Punta Gorda, died inside the car before they got there.
