160 Oxycodone pills found after traffic stop for seatbelt violation

PORT CHARLOTTE, FL. – Deputies have arrested a North Port man after finding 160 Oxycodone pills during a traffic stop.

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a beige Ford Crown Victoria due to the driver not wearing a seatbelt.

The deputy issued 43-year-old Felix Jordan a warning for the seat belt violation, and was then asked if he had any weapons, drugs or contraband inside the vehicle. Jordan answered no, and he then gave consent to search his vehicle.

The deputy located a prescription pill bottle which had the label removed. Located in the pill bottle were 160 Oxycodone 30mg pills.

Jordan was placed under arrest for Possession of Controlled Substance, Trafficking in Controlled Substance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Jordan was taken to the Charlotte County Jail; he was booked and then released on a 28,500 bond. Anyone with knowledge of illegal drug activity is asked to please call the CCSO Narcotics Unit at 941-575-2157, or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
