North Port woman seriously injured in ATV crash

NORTH PORT, FL. - A North Port woman was seriously injured after crashing her ATV over the weekend.

It happened Sunday around 30m at Langlais Drive and Inkwood Drive.

50-year-old Patricia Wells of North Port was riding an ATV northbound on Langlais Drive approaching the intersection of Inkwood Drive.

The right front wheel separated from the axel causing the ATV to crash onto the roadway.

She struck the pavement and sustained a serious head injury. She was flown to Blake Medical Center by helicopter for treatment.

No charges are expected.
