NORTH PORT, Fla. - Police are looking for help locating a man they say may be traveling to North Port after threatening bodily harm to his family.

37-year-old Stonie Shane Norris is a person of interest in an alleged robbery in Putnam County and is believed to be headed to North Port in either a gray Nissan Altima or a blue Chevy Tahoe.

The North Port schools the children attend were placed on voluntary lockdown Friday as a precaution.

Police should be notified if anybody observes Norris or his vehicle in their travels. Do not attempt to contact Norris as he may be armed, but report his whereabouts to the proper authorities.

North Port Police are assisting the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office with their case and ensuring the family remains safe.
