CHARLOTTE COUNTY - A Port Charlotte couple that is already in jail on multiple theft charges -- including one in which their yound daughter was with them -- now face additional charges for a theft from Best Buy.
34-year-old Jeffrey Sabatinelli and 31-year-old Christen Dial were arrested December 28th and charged with stealing several items from a Dollar General store, and then stealing a $830 plasma welder from Tractor Supply. Surveillance from the Tractor Supply store show they had their daughter in the store with them at the time of the theft.
After further investigation, Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives have identified the couple as responsible for stealing a 4350 tablet computer from Best Buy on November 29th. Surveillance photos show the couple leaving the store after store employees say Sabatinelli concealed the tablet device while in the store's restroom.
Sabatinelli is on record selling that same tablet to a pawn shop in Cape Coral that same day.
Sabatinelli’s bond is set at $24,000. Dial has no bond due to her being on probation for previous charges before the latest thefts occurred. The investigations continue.
