CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL. - A Charlotte County man is facing Animal Cruelty charges after Animal Control officers say he abused a dog and left it for dead.

Charlotte County Deputies arrested 45-year-old James McNeally this week after neighbors reported abuse of a 2-year-old pit bull.

Animal Control officers found scars all over the dog's body.

We are told that they had to put the dog down, and that McNeally could face more charges.
