PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (AP) — Four llamas are being evaluated at a southwest Florida veterinary hospital after being involved in a crash on Interstate 75.

WINK-TV reports that a pickup truck carrying a trailer with four llamas crashed at mile marker 164, near Punta Gorda.

Photos taken by rescue officials showed one of the llamas strapped on a stretcher.

Three of the four llamas appeared to be uninjured. Charlotte County Animal Control is transporting the four llamas to a veterinarian to be checked. A male driver in his 20's was injured and was taken to a hospital, where he is in stable condition.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
