I believe someone is lying ! I asked Tito Gaono online last month how much money had they raised & he told me $750k but Orlando states in the newspaper they only have $40k......and now they are asking for a hand out??? Something's fishy. I think they should have to open their books to the public since they are a non-profit organization & we the public have supported this cause for years & they have not done any improvements to the building. On the video he only claims to have kept the grounds up, well that is not what is at issue here. Where is the rest of the money???
The Venice Arts Foundation has been padding their pockets if they only have $40k on hand when Tito Gaono blantly said $750k was raised so where did the other $710k go??I believe this organization needs to be held accountable and prove to the public where all the money is and stop asking for more handouts!!!
Enough is enough let's move with the times. Better & sensational performers have proven to be more mobile & less of a tax burden & liability to the city & county. This 5 acres could be put to good use instead of spending good money on something that has been neglected for far too long. The Venice. Circus Foundation should give the money back to the city because they did not fulfill their obligation. I was told by Tito Gains that they raised $750k so where is the money & why haven't they repaired the roof before now instead of waiting till now to try to do something. They also took $9000 from the Gulf Coast Community to have repairs reaccessed by an Architect firm from California but why not one from FL? That was $9000 that could have helped more families in need in Sarasota County!

Shame, shame, shame on the City of Venice!!! This was on the local news tonight and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The Foundation to save the Ringling Circus Arena has been working tirelessly to save his wonderful place. Everyone who is from the Venice Area or remembers the Ringing Circus should throw a big fit!!!! Totally unbelievable! Thanks!
